The Governor’s Ramadan Message to MAPS and WA Muslims

As’salamu Alaykum / Peace be Upon You All:

Washington State Governor Jay Inslee took time out of his busy schedule during a pandemic to offer Ramadan greetings to MAPS and the 100,000+ American Muslims living in our beautiful state. He also recognized the contributions of MAPS and the Muslim community during the current crisis, and thanked us for our work. The message reflects the Governor’s and his administration’s commitment to inclusiveness, to diversity and to our collective bond as Washingtonians. We sincerely thank the Governor for standing by these core values.

As we reflect in these final blessed nights of Ramadan, I ask all of you to keep Governor Inslee, First Lady Trudi Inslee, and the Governor’s staff — as well as all those in difficult decision-making roles during this pandemic — in our prayers. May they have the continued strength, wisdom, and heart to lead our state/nation through these unprecedented times. Amen.

You can share the video message with your friends on Facebook, YouTube or other ways.

Please also take a minute to thank Governor Inslee for his beautiful message by messaging him on social media, completing this form or emailing his office.

Thank you,

Hyder Ali
MAPS President
