MAPS Special Needs Services

MAPS strives to provide an inclusive environment for our community members with special needs and disabilities.

The building has a wheelchair-accessible prayer hall and bathrooms (including wheelchair-accessible wudu areas). We also offer Sunday school for special needs children (more info below).

MUHSEN Certification

MAPS is working towards earning certification from MUHSEN (Muslims Understanding and Helping Special Education Needs), a non-profit organization helping masajid establish a more inclusive environment for our community members living with disabilities. MUHSEN helps advocate, educate, train and implement programs and services nationwide to improve access to masajid for individuals with special needs as well as promote their acceptance and inclusion by the community.

In order to better understand the needs of individuals with disabilities, we are requesting families with special needs fill out MUHSEN’sNeeds Assessment Survey*.
