MAPS Sunday School is looking for a new Principal for this coming academic year where we will are planning to have both virtual and on-site classes. Deadline to apply is June 23, 2021 and interviews will take place thereafter. 

Summary:
The Principal is the face of the school. You lead teachers and staff, set goals and ensure students meet learning objectives, and stay safe. Overseeing your school’s day-to-day operations means handling disciplinary matters, managing a budget, hiring teachers, and other personnel. The Principal resolves conflicts and listens to community concerns. Principals guide curriculum direction, assess teaching methods, monitor student achievement, encourage parent involvement, and evaluate teachers and staff.

The Principal is supported by the Head Teacher and Assistant Principal. The Head Teacher is responsible for curriculum direction and teacher observation. The Assistant Principal is responsible for school operations and finances.

Pay:
$150/week

Responsibilities:

• Managing Staff with Assistant Principal
• Guiding Curriculum Direction with Head Teacher
• Assessing teaching methods with Head Teacher
• Answering questions about the school and its systems
• Welcoming parents
• Setting expectation for students, teachers, and families
• Meeting with MAPS Education Director

Requirements:

1. Must have at least 2 years experience in Education.
2. Must be comfortable with live video software like Zoom in order to facilitate virtual learning for students and staff
3. Experience in Islamic learning or Sunday school.
4. Educational leadership experience preferred.
5. Certificate or degree in Education or related fields preferred.
