Assalamu Alaykum / Peace be upon you,

In these holy last ten days of Ramadan, 36 lives were cut short today and close to 150 people were injured in Turkey in what appears to be another terror attack. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers go to the victims and their families and to the whole Turkish community.

Muslims remain the primary victims of terror. At least 1.3 million Muslims have been killed in acts of terror creating the largest number of refugees in the world after World War II. Those who engaged in terror, irrespective of their claimed faiths, are committing mass murders and grave sins. Allah Al-Muntaqim says in the Qur’an:

“And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his punishment is hell; he shall abide in it, and Allah will send His wrath on him and curse him and prepare for him a painful chastisement.” [4:93]

We pray that Almighty Allah give all of us courage to fight this scourge of terror and pray that He restore peace in our world.
