Once Again, Small Business Owners and Nonprofit Leaders Celebrated Diverse Business Opportunities
MAPS-SBRN was able to successfully host the 2nd Annual Small Businesses & Non-Profits Fair at MAPS Redmond on Feb. 10th. Not only is this event an opportunity to promote their businesses, but it is also critical as a networking opportunity, time for collaboration, and to learn of resources that exist around us which can further benefit in the promotion and growth of the businesses.
MAPS-SBRN also decided to give an opportunity to young entrepreneurs in our community to come forward with an idea to support Turkey & Syria. This great business idea allowed them to raise $1200+ to support Turkey.
Note from the team:
On behalf of Brothers Squad (Rayed Siddiqui, Issac Mogal, Noah Mogal, and Omar Alam) we would like to thank our community members for all your support and generosity. Alhamdulillah, collectively we raised $1252 towards Turkiye and Syria Earthquake Relief efforts on Saturday, February 11th at the MAPS-SBRN fair. We donated the funds to HHRD (Helping Hand for Relief and Development). We are grateful to MAPS-SBRN for the platform they have provided us to run this fundraiser.
The last couple of weeks has been really hard for all of us to process the widespread devastation and immense suffering our Turkish and Syrian brothers and sisters have endured. As a Muslim, it was difficult to imagine the pain of fellow Muslim brothers and sisters.
God has blessed us with enough resources and guidance, and on the day of judgment we would be questioned what did we do with our money, time, and resources. May Allah accept our small effort and make us from among those who are at the service of Allah every single day. Ameen.
