Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Ramadan Kareem. May Allah ﷻ make this a generous and blessed month for you and your family.
As we enter this sacred month, we are deeply grateful for the opportunities it brings: to renew our connection with Allah ﷻ, to increase in worship and reflection, and to strengthen the bonds of our community. Ramadan is a time of mercy, growth, and unity, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
Our teams at MAPS Redmond, MAPS Seattle, and MAPS Snohomish County have prepared a diverse lineup of spiritual, educational, and social programs to enrich your Ramadan experience. From nightly prayers and Qur’an reflections to youth activities and community gatherings, there is something for every member of the family.
We are pleased to share that all three branches will host Interfaith Iftar events this year, Alhamdulillah:
MAPS Redmond — Sunday, March 1 at 4:00 PM
MAPS Seattle — Tuesday, March 3
MAPS Snohomish County — Friday, March 6
These events provide meaningful opportunities to invite co-workers, neighbors, educators, and friends to experience the beauty of Ramadan and the warmth of our community.
We encourage you to review the attached booklet for full program details and to bring your families to participate. With increased attendance at all locations, we kindly ask for your patience and cooperation with our volunteers to ensure a safe, smooth, and welcoming experience for everyone. May Allah ﷻ reward them abundantly for their service.
With Allah’s will, the sincere duas of this community, and your generous support, Alhamdulillah we achieved the milestone of closing on our new property last year. This was not just a transaction—it was a historic step forward and a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when hearts unite for the sake of Allah ﷻ.
Now, the real hard work is required in the next few years. We are moving forward with plans to build a masjid and community center at the new location—a welcoming space rooted in worship, learning, youth development, and service—that will serve generations to come, Insha’Allah. This is more than a building; it is a legacy for our children and a sadaqah jariyah that will continue to benefit our community long after us. We humbly ask for your continued support and your sincere duas as we take the next steps together in bringing this vision to life.
As we invest in building for the future here at home, we cannot forget those whose homes, communities, and lives have been devastated. Our hearts ache for our brothers and sisters in Gaza, Sudan, and other regions facing genocide, conflict , displacement, and immense hardship. In this month of mercy, let us remember them not only in our du’as, but also in our charity and our compassion. May Allah ﷻ grant them protection, relief after hardship, justice after oppression, and peace after turmoil.
If there is anything we can do to support you this Ramadan, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to serve you and will do our best to accommodate your needs, Insha’Allah.
May Allah ﷻ accept our fasting, our prayers, our charity, and our efforts, ease suffering across the world, and unite our hearts upon goodness.
Jazakumullahu Khairan,
Mohammad N. Vakil
