Every year we distribute Zakat-ul Fitr and Zakat to those in the community who are in need so they can have a joyous Eid with their family. 

Last year we distributed $180K to 1,560 families all over Seattle. This year we are planning to distribute Zakat-ul Fitr and Zakat on Monday, May 10. 

Therefore, it is important that we collect your Zakat-ul Fitr by Sunday, May 9, so we can distribute them to the needy on Monday.

Zakat-ul Fitr is obligatory on every Muslim in the family, including children, and must be paid before Eid. The amount of Zakat-ul Fitr is $15/person. So a family of 4 should pay $60.
