MAPS is recruiting volunteers for a new MAPS Marketing Committee. If you are interested in copywriting, online marketing, campaigns, social media, graphics, analytics, and more, we would love to partner with you to help MAPS market its events, programs, and volunteering opportunities.

MAPS invests and funds many events and programs and needs a marketing team to increase awareness and turnout. Being able to better reach and inform the community will help bring us together.

Responsibilities:

• Regular committee meetings every two weeks
• Discuss ideas and strategies to better market MAPS events and programs
• Come up with special campaigns for large programs (e.g., annual fundraiser, Eid, etc.)
• Collect and review analytics and feedback to improve marketing
• Get the right content (copy and graphics and memes) to market our events
• Spend on ads where appropriate
• Work with paid marketing/content staff/agencies to get the best out of their expertise

Requirements:

• Interest and enthusiasm is a must. No prior experience is required, but if you do have experience, MAPS needs you.
• Time commitment is expected to be between 5 to 10 hours a month.

Join this committee and help us bring more people to MAPS, either in the mosque or online, to the many high quality programs MAPS hosts. There will also be a lot to learn and experiment, and marketing skills picked up here will be relevant for future work or business opportunities.

Instead of using social media/blogging/YouTube just for fun, let’s use that energy and skill for the mosque.
