As-salamu Alaikum:  

As a follow up to my earlier emails about the vote to approve MAPS expansion project, I am pleased to announce the results of the Special Meeting of the General Assembly held on May 7, 2021. 

The membership voted overwhelmingly in support of the expansion project. Ninety seven percent (97%) of the vote was in favor of the expansion. As a result, the measure has passed and the expansion project has been approved by the MAPS membership. 

Thank you all for participating in this important vote and for your continued support of the Muslim Association of Puget Sound! 

We will inshaaAllah sign the contract next week, and the project will start in the first week of June 2021 inshaaAllah. We will keep you updated on the progress of the construction.
