Mahmood Khadeer has over 27 years of experience in community service in Islamic institutions in US. He is one of the founders of MAPS and currently a Board of Trustee of MAPS. He served in various capacities in MAPS from its inception including the position of President, Vice President, member of Board of Trustees and the Project Manager who managed the complete construction project for current MAPS facility.
He was also President of Medina Academy, an Islamic school in East side. Prior to moving to Seattle, he was secretary of Huntsville Islamic Center and helped raise funds to build the new Masjid in Huntsville, Alabama.
In his professional life, he has over 30 years of experience in software industry in various roles. He is currently working in Google as Head of Acquisitions and Alliance support. Prior to this he worked in Microsoft for 19 years holding various positions in Microsoft from Engineering Director to customer support and business management.
He is married and has 3 children: Muneeb Khadeer, Mahin Khadeer and Samreen Khadeer. He has three beautiful grandkids: Nurah Khadeer, Issa Khadeer and Inayah Quraishi. His wife Salma Khadeer was a pre-K teacher in Medina Academy for 19 years.
Mahmood holds a B.S. in Engineering from NIT, Warangal, India, MS MS in Cyber Security and MBA from University of Washington.
