Duha Muhamed is a UW Bothell graduate with a degree in law economics and public policy with a minor in human rights. While focusing her studies on prison studies, she is a current sponsor at Monroe Corrections, trying to bring awareness to prison issues and working on a reentry program specific to the incarcerated Muslim population. She also works closely with youth, specifically black youth, helping to empower, educate, and amplify their voices.
Besides Co-Chairing MAPS-CDEI, Duha is Vice President of the Youth Empowerment Network, serves as Host of the Unapologetically Black and Muslim Podcast, and works at Modest Family Second Chances Outreach.
Duha’s passion for social justice and social change is her drive and motivation, but she also hopes to create safe spaces where she and her Black community not only survive but also thrive.
