Dr. Rafat Rashwan is a Doctor of Law and Islamic Studies. He is a former judge as well as an active Supreme Court lawyer in Egypt. Dr.
Rashwan serves in the Board of Trustees and is an active member of the Interfaith program at MAPS. He oversees and hosts classes for teachers and educators at the Islamic Sunday School and has established the current library inside the Masjid. He was also the Vice President of the Islamic Center of SeaTac.
He acts as the Muslim Advisor to the Bellevue City Council and is a counselor and advisor for marriage in the Muslim community.
