Announcing the Launch of the New MAPS Website!

As’salaam alaikum (peace be upon you):

Today I am happy to announce the launch of our new MAPS website, alhamdulillah (thanks and praise be to God)!

This marks a big milestone in a project started over 8 months ago when I approached Osman Salahuddin to help us rebrand MAPS and redesign our website. At that time, Osman had moved back home to Seattle from New York and wanted to get involved in a project to give back to the community he grew up in as a child. Since launching the previous MAPS website 7 years ago, MAPS has grown significantly in terms of both depth and breadth of services. We needed new, consistent branding across programs and a website reflecting this growth. The project required coordination with 25+ stakeholders who produce content for the website, most of whom are volunteers. With Osman spearheading the project, and the contributions of so many others, we were able to successfully transition and launch our new website this week. We are proud of the final result, and invite you to check it out here.

I want to give an extra congratulations and huge thanks to the following people who dedicated many long hours over the period of 8 months to execute this project and take it to the finish line:

• Osman Salahuddin, Project Manager
• Azzam Aijazi, Project Coordinator
• Aneelah Afzali, Content Editor
• Iyaz Ahmad, Website Technical Support
• Ibrahim Abdul Rahim, MAPS Board Liaison
• Abdusalem Ibrahim, Operational Support

I was truly impressed with the level of dedication and professionalism exhibited by this team over the course of the project.

The project specifically included developing MAPS Branding guidelines and a new redesigned website that was created by Yoseph Elaameir of Alia East. We are pleased with Yoseph’s work, along with the commitment, professionalism, responsiveness, and service he showed throughout the project (and we highly recommend him for your branding/website design work!). I also want to thank all the MAPS programs for their support and embracing these changes moving forward. We will continue to update our social media with the new branding, but for now, please check out our new MAPS website and send me your feedback. I look forward to hearing from you, insha’Allah.

P.S. The MAPS COVID-19 update will resume next week. Thanks.
