Announcing Hiring of Imam for MAPS Seattle

Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah / Peace be upon you

We are very pleased to share this news of hiring of Imam Akram Baioumy for MAPS Seattle location. Akram Baioumy has accepted our offer and will be relocating to downtown area to be close to MAPS Seattle. He is no stranger to our community as he grew up in the area and has already been teaching classes at MAPS Redmond. We were looking for someone who knows the Pacific Northwest region, familiar with the Muslim and the broader community around, and who can connect with young professionals frequenting MAPS Seattle.

Br. Akram will be MAPS Seattle Assistant Imam under the guidance of Imam Mohammad Joban and Imam Adam Jamal.

Alhamdulillah (by the Grace of God), MAPS Seattle mosque in the heart of downtown is seeing increased attendance and activities. We have an opportunity to serve the community with more discipline and consistent religious and educational offerings. This will further help bring our youths and adults to the mosque on a daily basis.
