Assalamu Alaikum,

On behalf of the MAPS election committee, we would like to communicate the results of the 2023 MAPS elections for the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees.

Alhumdulillah, we ended the MAPS 2023 voting on Sunday, 11/12/2023.

• For Board of Trustees (BOT), Br. Hyder Ali was the only candidate, hence there was no need for BOT election this year.
• For Board of Directors (BOD), A total of 128 votes were cast which is about 23% of the 551 members eligible to vote.

Following are the results:

7 candidates ran for 5 open seats on the Board

The 5 candidates with the highest number of votes – highlighted in green above – have been elected as new members of the MAPS Board of Directors (BOD).

With regard to the election of the MAPS President, there were no elections for MAPS President this year, it happens every other year.

We recognize all the candidates for coming forward and deciding to serve the MAPS community. May Allah reward you all.
