MAPS is now a Certifying Organization to provide President’s Volunteer Service Awards

As salam alaikum,

Helping others is a fundamental aspect of Islam. It is one of the principles of our faith to help our fellow human beings. In Surat As-Saffat, Ayat 25,مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ ٢٥ Allah mentions [They will be asked], “What is [wrong] with you? why do you not help each other?”.

MAPS is now a Certifying Organization to provide President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). This is to recognize our exceptional volunteers for their service and positive impact to the community around us.

What is President’s Volunteer Service Award?

In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.
